S. Sligo Street, Cortez, CO
The city of Cortez decided to expand their 7th Street farther east and tie it into Sligo Street in the southern part of the city. Williams Construction carried out the project from start to finish. Work included excavation, installation of utilities, conduit work, street and sidewalk paving, installation of storm drainage system, guardrail installation, and wetland mitigation once the job was finished. A bridge was also constructed along the road to cross over a wetland area. When all was said and done, the people living in the southwestern part of town were happy to have a backroad to be able to take to get to the grocery stores in town without having to drive up to Main Street and take it over.
